Dribbling is one of the most electrifying skills in football. It can leave defenders in the dust and create moments of magic that fans remember for years. In this list, we dive into the best dribbling forwards in the Premier League and provide commentary on their play.
Jeremy Doku tops our list at #1. Manchester City’s Belgian winger appears to have one main instruction from Pep: torment every fullback you face. In a squad with so many dangerous attacking options, Doku typically has ample space to be creative with the ball at his feet. He has the license to attack everyone and cause as much chaos as possible and is an important asset to City. We hope he can apply a finishing touch to the end of his dribbling moves because that would elevate him to another level.
Noni Madueke, at #3, is one to watch for the future. The young Chelsea winger has cemented himself on Chelsea’s right side of the pitch, and he’ll be eager as always to advance the ball up the pitch with his feet. He is always trying to cut back off the right onto his favored left foot to unleash a strike towards goal, more practice and confidence will lead to those going in soon.
Pedro Neto comes in at #6. This Wolves winger is a fantastic dribbler, electrifying pace and cutting in from the left or the right constantly against any defender he comes up against. Expect Wolves to continue relying on his dribbling ability to advance the team up the pitch. Hopefully, he remains more fit this season than in years past, he hasn’t completed over 20 games in 3 seasons.
#7 on our Top 10 Dribbling Forwards list is Alejandro Garnacho. Manchester United’s young Argentinian winger loves having the ball at his feet. This pacy attacker never hesitates to dribble up the pitch and into the attacking third. Surely he takes inspiration from a young Cristiano Ronaldo, who similarly played on the left side of the pitch for Manchester United at the start of his career.
Mykhailo Mudryk, at #8, may not have the best finishing ability, but there are no doubts about his pace or ability to dribble. The Ukrainian winger needs no invitation to use his pace to take on opposition fullbacks and carry the ball into the attacking third of the pitch. Mudryk entering his 3rd season with Chelsea is destined to make a step forward and we believe that will happen if he can improve his decision-making after he gets by a defender.
Chelsea’s veteran winger Raheem Sterling comes in at #9. He had a disappointing season in 2023/24, but he surely hasn’t lost his ability to protect the ball in close quarters. Sterling is always eager to showcase his dribbling ability and carry the ball upfield. His quick feet and great ball positioning allow him to glide past defenders to cross or shoot the ball.
Timo Werner is in the final spot at #10. The pacy German forward needs no invitation to run into space. Tottenham’s end-to-end tactics create many opportunities for Timo to use his feet and advance the ball up the pitch. Good luck to any fullbacks trying to keep up. He performed well since joining Tottenham in the January transfer window earlier this year and we are excited to see him continue this trend this season. Was one of the unluckiest players in the past few seasons when was at Chelsea.
